Introduction

webrose.JPG

Troubled by a continuum of conflict with an apparent variety of causes, dominating our existence, I asked why? The answer is a question of meaning I present in a poem, a precis and an essay each aptly titled "The Last Why". All other writings are derivatives. I welcome comments and much appreciate sharing. Thank you. Doug.E.Barr

GOD'S VOICE

S. Palin says she hears God's voice.
But if we checked I think we'd find
It's not God's voice but echos of
Thoughts she created in her mind.

George said he heard God's voice as well.
He said God told him to attack.
I'm quite sure though if George heard God
There would be no war in Iraq.

Nor would there be a Taliban
If fighters listened to Allah.
In fact if all of us heard God
Existence would inspire awe.

For anyone who hears God's voice
Will not divide society.
Since if God speaks, God's voice will say,
"I'm God of all humanity."

God; God's will

I enjoyed reading this poem because i get the feeling someone else sees what i see alot. Many people think that "GOD" is the reason of their actions good or bad. I have withness many people religous as they are, doing some thing wrong or not right but saying it way there duty from god. When realy i believe people should blame or give credit to themself only. In lines (1-8) I feel that those people are afraid to say the choices they took are their choices and so they say that god told them to do it, giving them a chance to say it was or wasn't their decision depending what others say. But what most people don't notice god only SHOWS PATHS to you and doesn't tell to do anything because at the end the path you choose is the path you should have tooken long ago and god knows it. Your poem is realy unique. The way you see things is different to me in all your poem you see it in a different perspective that i don't notice other people have but i try to see. I enjoy reading your poems and hope you keep writing. :)

I am a child of God. God is my Father. And He gives all of us free choice. No, we can't blame God. We are all responsible for our own actions. We all have the freedom to choose to do good or bad. Yes, God forgives and will always love us, but, as with any good earthly dad, we have consequences when we choose to do bad. God is love and God is good. God loves us so much that He gives us free choice...to choose Him or to go our own way. I lived my life on the other side and reaped nothing but disaster...and I thank God that He drew me back on His path again, cuz His favor is upon my life and He blesses me so...I tell you...I've never been so happy. Father God doesn't push anyone. But they won't regret it if they choose God cuz He takes great care of His kids! Yes, God wants all of us to live together in peace, love and harmony...but this guy named satan is out to destroy our lives...to destroy our happiness...to grab anyone he can to bring to hell with him. Satan and hell are real. So, no, it is not God's fault when bad things happen...we make our own choices and reap what we so, whether good or bad. And, yes, He talks to His kids...if it's good, it is from Him...if it's bad, it is from satan. God is awesome ! !

This view of life has been around a long time. It is entirely fictional so the statements you have repeated as if they are facts will remain theory. However, the consequences of following this and all other religious theories are factual. Although no longer dominant, by all scientific accounting they have brought us to the brink of self-destruction; and if there is time to save ourselves we will need to begin by flushing all holy crap. Iam the dauther of God's. He he the one that did everything to live. For what I belivie, I think that he gave up his life for me. I don't care what no one says about what I think. My opinon is my opinon. Now, anywas, what do I think about this poem? When I read this poem, it was like a cry to my eyes. I couldn't even think about what it was about. All I had to do was keep on and keep on reading it over and over again.

I do not know why you cried; but the thought of all the destruction caused by people who were certain they were listening to God's voice brings tears to my eyes. Doug.E.Barr

I AGREE WITH (GOD'S VOICE) HE WROTE EXACTLY WHAT I WOULD HAVE WRITTEN.GOD DOESN'T DIRECT ANYONE TO DO GOOD OR BAD. HE LET'S YOU HAVE THE FREEDOM TO MAKE THE DECISION TO DO GOOD OR BAD ON YOUR OWN. HE ALSO, DOESN'T ALLOW YOU TO SEE HIM OR HEAR HIM UNLESS YOU TRULY BELIEVE. EVEN AFTER YOU BELEIVE YOU CAN'T TRULY HEAR HIM YOU ONLY CAN SEE WHAT HE'S TRYING TO TELL YOU BY THE THINGS THAT GOES ON AROUND YOU AND TO SEE HIM. HE WILL EITHER GIVE YOU VISIONS OR COME TO YOU IN YOUR DREAMS. I'VE EVEN SEEN HIM BE FUNNY. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THAT MAN. HE HAS DONE SO MUCH FOR ME IN MY LIFE.AND I HAVE DONE VERY LITTLE FOR HIM. HE MEANS SO MUCH TO ME. AND READING YOUR POETRY AND SEEING HOW LITTLE YOU CARE FOR HIM, MAKES ME WANT TO BE A CHRISTIAN AGAIN. I HOPE THAT ONE DAY YOU WILL LET THE LORD INTO YOUR LIFE AND INTO YOUR HEART. AND I HOPE AFTER YOU CHOOSE TO LET HIM IN YOUR LIFE AND IN YUOR HEART, YOU GET TO LIVE LONG ENOUGH TO SEE HOW WONDERFUL HE IS AND HOW WONDERFUL HE WILL MAKE YOUR LIFE BE. YOU HAVE ALREADY MISSED OUT ON SO MUCH OF WHAT HE IS ABOUT. I HOPE THAT YOU AREN'T TO OLD ALREADY TO GET TO SEE HOW MUCH BETTER YOUR LIFE CAN BE WITH HIM IN IT.

WE CANNOT BECOME FOOLISH OUR BY HEARING VOICES IN MIND. MIND IS GIVEN TO HUMAN TO DISCERN AND MAKE GOOD CHOICES. WHO ARE WE? WE ARE ATMAN THE SOUL AND WE HAVE ALL THE FREEDOM TO CHOOSE RIGHTEOUSNESS AS WE GROW UP. THAT IS WHY PARENTS GUIDE CHILDREN. BUT WHERE IS GOD IN HUMAN?
WELL ALL LIVINGS CREATIONS THE HUMAN AND ANIMALS HAVE HEART. WHO HUMS THE HEART? THERE IS THE LIFE-LIGHT OF GOD IN ALL LIVING AND HOW DO I KNOW? YOU HAVE TO LEARN TO SEE THIS LIFE-LIGHT. MANY TRUE SCRIPTURES HAVE BEEN CHANGED. HUMAN IS NOW TRUSTING SCIENCE MORE THAN INNER PRAAN JYOTI= LIFE-LIGHT WHO GOD SPIRIT IN ALL LIVING. BUT SCIENCE CANNOT MAKE A DEAD ALIVE. THAT IS WHY IT IMPORTANT TO LIVE IN WISDOM RIGHTEOUSNESS OF "PREM''= LOVE OF PURITY AS GOD'S AND NOT A FOOLISH SINFUL HUMAN doing all destruction TO OUR BEAUTIFUL MOTHER EARTH.

I am in awe of anyone who can express themselves in more than one language. You do well but not quite good enough for me to be sure I understand completely what you are saying. I will do my best. I hope I did not change your meaning by editing your first sentence to read, "We cannot become foolish by hearing voices in our mind." If this is acceptable then it seems you disagree with what I have written in my poem. I don't think there should be any reasonable disagreement we have done more foolish things believing we have heard God telling us to do them than by any other motivation. I agree that "Mind is given to human to discern and make good choices." The sentences between this one and "life light" are mythic and quite meaningless to anyone but you. In "the last why: the poem" there is the line "Our spirit is of life our light." I don't specifically connect it with God as you do but perhaps there is some overlap in our meaning. In that overlap I can agree we are not 'seeing' much "light of life" and as a consequence we are destroying ourselves and "our beautiful mother earth." Doug.E.Barr

Thought that the poem was not what I expected. When God speaks you will know it is him.He not only speaks to you he guides you in your dailly life when you ask him too

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If what you say is true then by all the evidence we can only conclude the clear majority of humanity is not listening or "God" is purposely guiding us toward self-destruction. Doug.E.Barr
