Introduction

webrose.JPG

Troubled by a continuum of conflict, with an apparent variety of causes, dominating our existence I asked why? The answer is a question of meaning I present in a poem, a precis and an essay each aptly titled "The Last Why". All other writings are derivatives. I welcome comments and much appreciate sharing. Thank you. Doug.E.Barr

POPE'S POOP

01_benedict.jpg

"You called excessive wealth a sin.
You're right; but you should look within.
You didn't look behind your back
Before you called the "kettle black".
The poverty you too create.
It's born out of the wealthy state.
To banish wealth and poverty"
God said to Benny, "Start with thee.
Sell all your robes, your Popemobile;
Begin to live a life that's real.
Last give the Vatican away;
And then perhaps with you I'll stay."

The cookis they eat that is supposed to be jesus. They poop it out and where does that leave them. Whoops!-Jesus is gone!
And that is what people call a belief when its a system of lies based on the pope as the father and we his children who bring him the money.He's brainwashed you!!! Holy water? Don't get me started.

If it's any consolation, my brother, who is a priest, believes the Church would benefit from "a life of poverty." Perhaps, in time, it will come.

Blessed are the poor...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It has been a long time since the leaders of the church have read those words. The high priests of our economic system have never read them. Instead they have written their own. Cursed are the poor for they are a drag on economic growth.

Blessed is your brother. He sounds like a man in priests clothes. Thank you. Doug.E.Barr

You should be having fun in Hell for making fun of the Vicar of Christ.

When I first read your comment I laughed out loud (LdOL). However, when I saw your name "someonewho knows", I became nervous. I thought of the possibility you might be in Hell for making fun of the Pope so you do know; but then I LdOL again. Thanks. Doug.E.Barr

Dont let people bring you down with there coments. These are your true feelings and beleifes and no one can take them away from you. Good Job and you are an exellent poet. :) Danielle.

I am writing with both feet on the ground. There are no comments that can bring me down. An accumulation of silence and negative comments might cause me to regret my life choice but comments like yours have so far inhibited regret. Thank you for breaking the silence again. Doug.E.Barr

You are all disgusting and ignorant. If somebody said all that about blacks (oops! African Americans), or Jews, or Hispanics, or Obama, everyone would be yelling racism at you like crazy. I especially despise the comment on the Holy Eucharist and I suggest a little education for Loretta Bean. "Cookies!" What does she know about it. Has she ever tried to understand it? Too read St. Thomas Aquinas? But no doubt she's too illiterate to read Aquinas!

As for the Bible, "The Devil can quote Scripture for his purposes." So all of you anti-Catholics should keep in mind the quote from Matthew: "Judge not, least ye be judged"!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First you judge us "all (to be) disgusting and ignorant." Last you quote from Matthew, "Judge not, least ye be judged!" "The devil can quote scripture for his purposes." It seems to me you should be taking your own advice and avoid quoting scripture. I have never knowingly been called disgusting and one religious fanatic is not going to convince me that I am. I know I am not ignorant nor am I specifically anti catholic. However, I am anti every religious/philosophy that divides humanity; and that includes them all. To you it is the "Holy Eucharist". To the vast majority of humanity it is a completely meaningless "cookie". Thomas Aquinas is one out of 60 "fathers of the church" that I have counted. Is it any wonder it has an identity crisis.
